NewYear Special Methi Alo Matar Leave a Comment / Food / By Kamalakanta Nayak 1st heat oil in a pan and add potato cubes turmeric and salt cover and salt cover and fry for 10 mins on a low flame In oil add cumin ginger asafoetida and some green chillies,let it crackel Add some tomatoes turmeric and salt to taste and fry it for 1-2 mins Add red chilly powder, cumin powder and fry for 1 min add little water Add Chopped Methi/Fenugreek(add salt to methi and keep it for 10 mins then squeeze the water to avoid the bitterness of methi and green pees) saute it for 1-2 mins.Then add potatoes and little water.Mix it well and cover it for 5 mins. Lastly add some Coriander leaves and garam masala and your Methi Alo Matar is Ready – Chinmayee Acharya
