Ahmedabad, Gujarat: The 10th National Boccia Championship 2026 was successfully conducted from 27th January to 2nd February 2026 at the Veer Savarkar Sports Complex, Ahmedabad, Gujarat. The championship witnessed participation from talented boccia athletes from across the country.
The Odisha Boccia Team delivered an impressive performance by winning a total of three medals, bringing pride and recognition to the state.
Medal Winners from Odisha:
- Bronze Medal: Damayanti Ojha – Women’s Individual BC-4 category
- Bronze Medal: Mixed Team BC-4 – Damayanti Ojha with her mixed partner Milton Pothal
- Silver Medal: Mixed Team BC-4 – Sonali Ojha with her mixed partner Hemanta Kumar Sethy
The Odisha contingent comprised 11 Boccia athletes, accompanied by Coach Mr. Kola Jagannath Reddy and Team Manager Mr. Rakesh Chandra Behera.
