Odisha Swimmers Shine With Multiple Medals Across Categories
Lina Swain won Gold in the Women’s S-13 Category 50m Backstroke with a time of 58.75. The Silver went to Haraben Makvana of Gujarat, who finished in 1:51.09.
In the Women’s SB-13 Category 50m Breaststroke, Lina Swain clinched another Gold with an impressive 1:02.92, ahead of Hiraben B. Makvana of Gujarat, who took Silver with 01:35.12.
Lina Swain also secured Silver in the Women’s S-13 Category 50m Freestyle, clocking 54.36. Astha Tokas of Haryana won Gold with 47.15.
Sangeeta Nayak won Gold in the Junior Girls S-10 Category 50m Backstroke, finishing at 56.36. Sumitra Dhaka of Rajasthan took Silver with 1:25.09.
Pradipta Kumar Swain won Silver in the Men’s S-4 Category 50m Backstroke (1:27.01). Gold went to Lakhan Singh of Rajasthan (1:23.46), and Bronze to Deven Mahendra Pawar of Maharashtra (1:30.82).
Pradipta Kumar Swain also secured Silver in the Men’s S-4 Category 50m Freestyle with 01:28.89. Lakhan Singh of Rajasthan won Gold (01:25.75), while Min Bahadur Thapa of Kerala took Bronze (01:29.58).
Akash Banchhor won Silver in the Men’s S-5 Category 50m Backstroke with 53.55. Abdul Quadir Indori of Madhya Pradesh won Gold (47.45), and Chandeep Singh of J&K earned Bronze (55.38).
Ranjan Kumar Hansdah earned Silver in the Men’s S-11 Category 100m Backstroke with 01:56.23. Gold went to Himanshu Nandal of Haryana (01:14.35), and Bronze to Rama Murmu of Odisha (02:15.10).
Ranjan Kumar Hansdah also won Silver in the Men’s S-11 Category 50m Freestyle (35.53). Gold went to Himansu Nandal of Haryana (30.22), and Bronze to Hiralal Tudu of Jharkhand (37.71).
Kabita Dalai won Silver in the Women’s S-6 Category 50m Backstroke (1:04.69). Odisha’s Anita Munda took Bronze (1:17.07), while Simran Gaundalkar of Karnataka won Gold (01:02.49).

Bhanumati Behera earned Silver in the Women’s S-9 Category 50m Backstroke (1:05.08). Gold went to Nirmala Devi of Rajasthan (59.15), and Bronze to Sahida Khatun of West Bengal (01:08.98).
Bhanumati Behera also won Bronze in the Women’s S-9 100m Backstroke (02:18.85). Gold was secured by Kiran Tak of Rajasthan (01:54.21), and Silver by Nirmala Devi (02:13.31).
Golapi Sirka secured Silver in the Women’s SB-4 Category 50m Breaststroke with 01:53.79. Gold went to Trupti Dilip Chordiya of Maharashtra (01:33.54).
Monali Swain won Silver in the Women’s S-8 Category 50m Freestyle (01:02.01). Vaishnavi Vinod Jagtap of Maharashtra took Gold (40.31), and Shrungeri A. Thawkar earned Bronze (01:09.22).
Kanha Patra brought home Silver in the Men’s SB-13 Category 50m Breaststroke (41.79). Gold went to Jahangir Molla of West Bengal (36.05), and Bronze to Vishwajeet Rai of Delhi (47.13).
Chaitonya Marandi won Silver in the Men’s S-7 Category 50m Freestyle with 47.05. Gold went to Chaitanya Viswas Kulkarni of Maharashtra (33.64), and Bronze to Dipak Barman (47.50).
Sujata Samal won Bronze in the Women’s S-11 Category 50m Backstroke (1:22.79). Gold went to Kanchanmala D. Pande of Maharashtra (50.98), and Silver to Eswari Selvarasu of Tamil Nadu (1:22.67).

Sibananda Baidya won Bronze in the Men’s S-13 Category 50m Freestyle with 37.04. Gold went to R. V. V. Bhavani Kartik of Andhra Pradesh (26.44), and Silver to Deepak M. Patel of Maharashtra (30.19).
Kamala Tudu earned Bronze in the Men’s S-7 Category 50m Freestyle with 42.33. Gold was won by Suyash Narayan Jadav of Maharashtra (32.65), and Silver by Tejas Nandakumar of Karnataka (34.45).
Biju Singh secured Bronze in the Men’s S-13 Category 100m Backstroke (01:53.50). Gold went to Prasenjit Adak of West Bengal (01:41.18), and Silver to Parmanand of Chhattisgarh (01:49.22).
