Bhubaneswar: India’s ace para shuttler and Odisha pride Pramod Bhagat has delivered a stellar performance at the ongoing BWF World Para Badminton Championship 2026, securing his place in the finals of both the Men’s Singles SL3 and Men’s Doubles SL3–SL4 events.
In the Men’s Singles SL3 semifinal, Pramod displayed exceptional skill, experience, and tactical control to defeat Thailand’s Mongkhon Bunsun in straight games with a scoreline of 21–19, 21–17, thereby confirming his berth in the final.
Continuing his impressive run, Pramod, along with partner Sukant Kadam, dominated the Men’s Doubles SL3–SL4 semifinal, overcoming Korea’s Cho N and Lee S convincingly in straight games 21–13, 21–15 to secure another final appearance.
With these outstanding victories, Pramod Bhagat has assured two medals for India and now stands just one step away from clinching gold in both events.
