Odisha continues to shine on the global para sports stage as its athletes brought home Two Gold Medals and One Bronze Medal from the prestigious Australia Para Badminton International Level 2 Tournament 2025, held from Oct 21 to Oct 25, 2025, in Bendigo, Australia.
Odisha’s para shuttlers showcased resilience, talent, and international-level competitiveness, bringing pride to the state.

Event: Men’s Singles SL3 – Gold Medal
He displayed excellent game quality, defeating Jagadesh Dilli of India with scores of 16-21, 21-19, and 21-14 to reach the finals. There he defeated Manoj Sarkar (India) 21-14, 21-17 to win the Gold medal. -
Pramod Bhagat (India) partnering with Sukant Kadam (India)
Event: Men’s Doubles SL3-SU4 – Gold Medal
The Indian pair showed dominating game and convincing win in the tournament. They advanced to the finals after a strong win over their teammates Deep Ranjan Bisoyee (India) and Manoj Sarkar (India) 21-19 and 21-16. In the finals, they defeated the Indian pair of Suryakant Yadav (India) and Umesh Vikram Kumar (India) 21-9, 19-21, and 21-18 to win Gold. -

Event: Men’s Doubles SL3-SL4 – Bronze Medal
The Indian pair showed strong performance reaching the semifinals. They were defeated by Sukant Kadam (India) and Pramod Bhagat (India) 19-21, 16-21, earning the Bronze medal.
These outstanding performances reflect the dedication, hard work, and consistent support received by the athletes.
