“Every life is precious. Today, on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day, a “Jeevan Zindabad” program is being organized at Kalinga Stadium. The “Jeevan Zindabad” program is being organized with the aim of not bringing suicidal mentality in any situation in life, and promoting the feeling of having positive thoughts in life. If we can understand ourselves strongly at any weak moment in life and move forward with the feeling that every problem can be solved, then we can eliminate the disease like suicide from our society. Not only for ourselves, but also if someone around us is broken, someone is dying of grief, we should cooperate with him. We should encourage to cultivate a positive mindset. We should make everyone aware towards suicide prevention. On this day, we all take a pledge that we will work as life savers one by one,” said the Sports and Youth Affairs Minister. Shri Suryabanshi Suraj.

On the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day on Wednesday, the Naman Foundation, in collaboration with the Sports and Youth Affairs Department of the Government of Odisha and the Odisha Police, organized a state-level awareness program ‘Jeevan Zindabad’ at the Kalinga Stadium. Organized by the Vice President of Naman Foundation and renowned Odia film actor Sabyasachi Mishra, the program featured the awareness-raising short play ‘Jeevan Zindabad’ and the dance drama ‘Atmahatya Kara Nahi’ by the students of Sangeet Natak College. The theme song ‘Jeevan Zindabad’ composed by the President of Naman Foundation and renowned musician Prem Anand was released.

An oath-taking and interaction program was held on the occasion. Sports Minister Shri Suraj administered the oath to everyone and answered various questions from the participants. Para-athlete Kamalakant Nayak also participated in this interaction program and spoke about the most successful phase of his struggling life.

Chief Secretary Shri Manoj Ahuja, Director General of Police Shri Yogesh Bahadur Khurania, Police Commissioner Shri S. Devdutt Singh, Sports and Youth Affairs Commissioner and Secretary Shri Sachin Ramachandra Yadav, Director Dr. Yedula Vijay, Odisha Hockey Promotion Council CEO Shri Deepankar Mahapatra were prominently present at the program.
