Adani Partners with Google to Build India’s Largest AI Data Center Campus in Visakhapatnam

In a landmark development for India’s digital infrastructure, Adani Enterprises has become Google’s newest strategic partner. Through its joint venture AdaniConneX, Adani will collaborate with Google to establish India’s largest AI data center campus and green energy infrastructure in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh.

The Google AI Hub, to be developed between 2026 and 2030, represents a massive $15 billion investment. The project will include a gigawatt-scale data center operation, a subsea cable network, and clean energy infrastructure designed to support India’s most advanced AI workloads. AdaniConneX and Airtel will work closely with Google to bring this ambitious project to life, according to a company statement.

Building AI Infrastructure for the Future

The Google AI Hub is expected to add significant computing power to India’s growing AI ecosystem — a major step in strengthening the country’s technological capabilities. Both companies have reaffirmed their commitment to sustainability, with joint investments planned in new transmission lines, renewable energy generation, and energy storage systems across Andhra Pradesh. These initiatives will not only power the data center but also enhance India’s overall electrical grid.
